On Sunday, JioMart App launched on Google Play Store and iOS app store. The service operated by Reliance Retail and Jio Platforms was available only on the website and through WhatsApp.
JioMart services are available in over 200 cities in India. Right now, they deliver only groceries as of now. RIL Chairman, Mukesh Ambani announced new plans for its JioMart platform at the company’s AGM. Moreover, there are plans to expand in various services by the company.

How to use it?
The app is very easy to use and has multiple options to choose from for payment. We need to download the app from the app store and login. The app is similar to how we use Amazon and Flipkart. JioMart users can add multiple goods to the cart and place the order after selecting the preferred payment mode.
Additionally, the company claims that JioMart offers goods at five percent below MRP (maximum retail price). It was providing free deliveries for only orders worth INR 750 or more, the platform is now providing free deliveries for all orders.
Also, the platform will create a tough competition for other competitors like Flipkart, Amazon, and BigBasket. They charge minimum delivery charges for orders below a certain amount.

Since last Sunday, JioMart has 1 lakh downloads mark on the Google Play Store. Ambani also said JioMart was receiving more than 250,000 orders every day.
Apparently, JioMart is to work with messaging application WhatsApp for bringing Kirana stores into India’s e-commerce supply chain. The company will reach more cities in the coming months.

According to Ambani, it will also start selling electronics, pharmaceuticals, fashion, and healthcare products in the near future.
