Reliance Jio is likely to increase the price of Jio Phone soon. After an increase of Rs.300, it will cost Rs 999, according to an online report. Moreover, it will also be sold with a mandatory recharge pack of Rs 125. This information comes from sources familiar with the matter, according to 91 mobiles.

It totals the cost of the feature phone to Rs 1124. The Rs 125 all-in-one plan offers free calls from Jio Phone to any Jionumber along with 500 off-net minutes and 14GB data for one month.
This recharge will be applicable soon. Additionally, there are images of the Jio Phone retail boxes already online. It lists all the key specifications and services that you get with the feature phone. According to the report, the new units will be powered by Qualcomm’s chipset. However, the company will make an official announcement in the coming days.

Currently, Jio Phone comes at a price of Rs 699. The price has remained the same since Jio brought in the offer in Diwali 2019. However, for the offer, Reliance removes the security deposit of Rs 1500 from the phone.

This feature phone comes with 4G LTE connectivity, a 2.4-inch display, a Qualcomm processor, a VGA camera, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB storage. The phone runs on KaiOS out of the box as part of the software.

Earlier users had to buy a recharge of Rs 99 with the original cost of the phone that cost Rs 699. The telco also said it would give back Rs 299 if customers returned the handset within three years. Customers also got Rs 99 data packs for the recharges they made. With the potential price hike, it is not clear if Jio will retain all the offers for the feature phone.
