The base 128GB variant of the iPhone 14 is priced at INR 79,900, which is the same as the Apple iPhone 13. With some really good additions, such as the Satellite connectivity and Accident alert, this is indeed some decent pricing.

The iPhone 14 is shipped with a 6.1-inch OLED panel. There were earlier rumours about the inclusion of a ProMotion display (with a 120Hz refresh rate) in the base iPhone 14 model, but sadly it never materialised. The 120Hz refresh rate, like last year’s Apple iPhone 13 Pro models, is allotted to the higher-end Apple iPhone 14 Pro models. Apple also retained the notch design for the iPhone 14. As was rumoured earlier, Apple didn’t switch the iPhone 14’s Lightning port to a USB-C port at this stage.
As for the iPhone 15, the pill and hole cutout design is expected to be found on the base model only, taking inspiration from the iPhone 14 Pro series design. Moreover, rumours indicate that an under-display Face ID system might be introduced to the iPhone 15. The screen size is expected to be 6.1-inch, like the last few years’ models, and the phone might include a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port next year.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Performance and Storage
In the beginning, rumours claimed that the iPhone 14 might come with the new A16 Bionic chip. However, on the contrary, the phone came with the same A15 Bionic chip instead, like the Apple iPhone 13. The chipset still, though, is battery efficient and extremely powerful chipset.
Even though the iPhone 15 won’t launch anytime before September 2023, we can be sure that it should include the A16 Bionic chip, currently powering on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro lineup. This should be a worthwhile upgrade over the A15, which is already one of the best smartphone processors in the world. In case you’re wondering about the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, both iPhones could feature a new A17 Bionic processor from Apple.
Both models should start with a 128GB base storage. Other storage options could go up to 512GB, like the Apple iPhone 14. For the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, you can expect the storage to be expandable up to 1TB.

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Camera Setups
Although the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max models have come up with a significant camera upgrade by including a 48MP primary setup, the base iPhone 14 didn’t receive any such camera upgrade. Instead, we only see a dual-camera design with a 12 Megapixel + 12 Megapixel ultrawide setup. The selfie shooter is also the same 12 Megapixel shooter we’ve seen on the Apple iPhone 13.
The iPhone 14 Pro models also come with a dedicated 12 MP telephoto sensor that provides up to 3X optical zoom. The base iPhone 15 might also receive this upgrade. What we can safely assume is that the iPhone 15 will feature a 48MP primary camera and a 12MP Ultrawide camera. For the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, you could find a triple-camera setup, with 48MP primary sensor, 12MP Ultrawide sensor, and a 12MP 3X Telephoto lens!
iPhone 14 vs iPhone 15: Battery and Charging
Although Apple doesn’t usually reveal their iPhones’ battery capacity, we know the charging speeds. The iPhone 14, with some software optimisations, promises a better battery life than its predecessor, the iPhone 13. There were some rumours about including a faster-charging speed of 30W in the Apple iPhone 14, but instead, we get the usual 20W fast charging.
For the iPhone 15, the possible inclusion of the A16 Bionic chip might reduce power consumption by a massive 30 per cent. So, expect superior battery life and a charging speed of more than 20W right off the bat next year!
Summing up
