Since the last few weeks, a constant buzz of speculations on the iPhone 12 is making rounds in the industry. The most hyped is whether Apple will have a wall charger and EarPods with the upcoming iPhone 12.
In recent leaks, a braided material designed Lightning to USB Sort-C cables is a part of the new Apple series. These leaks come from the posts on Weibo in addition to Twitter.

This is not the first time that Apple will be shipping Lightning to USB Type-C cable with an iPhone. This happened in 2019 too, for their iPhone 11 Pro along with their fast chargers. But this time around we can expect them to be a part of the whole iPhone 12 series unlike only iPhone 11 Pro last year.
Some pictures showing the cable are making rounds online. The cable has a braided design which might be a primary for an iPhone as all cables from the Cupertino-based tech large bear the graceful texture.

The USB-C to Lightning cable reportedly measures the usual 1.05 meters in length and slightly thicker at 3.04mm. Additionally, the USB-C end enables fast charging on compatible iPhones, offering a 50 percent charge within 30 minutes.
Apple is probably taking this design into account to extend the sturdiness of the cable. Also, this will help to protect the damaged cable heads. These new cables will have 8 silver contacts with rhodium-plated ruthenium, making it extra immune to corrosion.
Amidst the rumors, we can expect to see the new iPhone users getting only one accessory with their phones this year. Hence, this step can also be a choice to cut down on the costs of packaging.
