Fortnite is perhaps one of the most famous free Battle Royale games on the internet right now and is available across multiple platforms including Android. Almost all our Android devices come with Google Play Store pre-installed and we download all our favorite games and apps from this app store.
However, Fortnite is somewhat of an exception as it has been removed from the Google Play Store and can only be downloaded through other 3rd party app stores. If you wish to Download Fortnite for free on your Android smartphone and play with your friends online then there are a few ways that you can do this.

Install Fortnite from Galaxy Store – Samsung Devices
If you have a Samsung smartphone then the process of installing the Fortnite game on your device is slightly easier. For those of you who do not remember well, Fortnite was first launched on Android exclusively for Samsung devices for a very short period due to their partnership, the app is still available on the Galaxy App store for download despite being removed from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Galaxy App Store on your Samsung smartphone
- Search for Epic Games and install the app from the Galaxy App Store
- Once the app is successfully installed you will be greeted with a Fortnite poster when you first open it
- Click on the Fortnite Poster and then tap on the Install option
- This will begin the downloading and the installation process for the Fortnite game on your Galaxy Smartphone
- The download will take some time as it has several files to be downloaded and installed, once the game is successfully installed using the Epic Games application, you will be able to launch the game and start playing
- Once the Fortnite Game is installed, you will have to proceed with the regular registration or login process to start playing

Install Fortnite on all other Android smartphones
If you do not have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, the installation process is slightly different. You will need to download the Epic Games app from the browser and install it manually. Luckily Epic Games has a very easy guided tour on their download page that shows you how to install the Epic Games application on your smartphone. After you install the Epic Games app from the browser through their website, the process is pretty much the same as we have seen above and you can proceed with the regular installation process.

- Visit the Epic Games Official Website on your computer or Android smartphone
- If you have opened the page on a computer then it will show a QR code that you can scan on your Android device, on an Android device the page will show you an option to download the app from either the official website or the Galaxy App Store
- Choose the first option to install the Fortnite Game via the Epic Games application
- This will begin the downloading of the application onto your smartphone
- Once the app has been successfully downloaded, tap on the APK file or open it up from the File manager to initiate the installation process
- If you have never installed an APK downloaded from your browser then you will be asked to grant permission to the browser to install new applications, grant the required permissions, and proceed.
- After the Epic Games app is successfully installed, you can open the app to see the Fortnite Banner, Tap on it and then Tap on Install
- This will begin the downloading and the installation process for the Fortnite game on your smartphone
- The download will take some time as it has several files to be downloaded and installed, once the game is successfully installed using the Epic Games application, you will be able to launch the game and start playing
- Once the Fortnite Game is installed, you will have to proceed with the regular registration or login process to start playing.
