Do you live in Delhi and enjoy roaming around in the city? But do you also always carry a ton of stuff that gets cumbersome to carry around? If you can relate to these questions, we have some news for you! Now, in Delhi, metro commuters can easily keep their bags, tech products or any product of value in a safe and secure space for a couple of hours. This can come in quite handy if you have some urgent work or just wish to catch a movie with friends.
DMRC or Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, with AutoPe Payment Solutions, has introduced a new app, called Momentum 2.0. Alongside a host of interesting features, it will allow people to easily rent lockers conveniently, directly from their phones. This is currently available in over 50 stations in the national capital. This marks a first in the country, with the Delhi Metro being the first to provide such services to its customers.
As of now, the app is still new and the duration is not as much as you might expect, with commuters allowed to keep their goods for up to 6 hours. The minimum time is an hour, with rates starting at a mere 20 rupees an hour. Different sizes of lockers are also present, with small, medium and large lockers.
Do note that the rates for lockers will differ. As of now, you can even exceed the 6-hour time limit, since a penalty system is not yet present, but we recommend adhering to the time limit. This new application is hoping to improve travelling for Delhi Metro users. DMRC has also mentioned plans to work on and spread this digital locker facility to most stations by next year.
For those curious, the Momentum 2.0 app will also let users purchase QR tickets, DMRC Card recharge, e-shopping option, paying utility bills and much more.
