Before diving deeper into the Yamaha TW-E3B review, let’s have a look at the specs:

The Yamaha TW-E3B has a very bland design. The case comes in a cylindrical shape, while the buds are somewhat bean-shaped. Both the case and the buds are made up of plastic which is decent for the mid-range buds. Most importantly, each bud weighs just 5grams, and hence they are quite light in weight.

I found the buds quite comfortable on my ears. Note that I kept wearing them for almost eight to ten hours but did not find any discomfort. Furthermore, the buds are designed to fit in your ears perfectly without needing to shove them repeatedly.

Thanks to the additional three pairs of eartips that TW-E3B offers, you can choose your perfect fit accordingly. In my case, the buds did not fall, even running or walking faster. Now, that’s quite a good thing.

The Yamaha TW-E3B comes with an IPX5 rating which makes them sweatproof. They are comfortable and durable for your daily use as long as you don’t dunk them in water.

The Yamaha TW-E3B review is incomplete without the audio experience. I used the earbuds for more than a week, and I must admit, I am really impressed with their sound quality. In fact, it is excellent for the price range. The Yamaha TW-E3B comes with 6.0mm Dynamic drivers, which can handle all genres of music, including rock, jazz, and hip hop, easily.

The bass response offered by these earbuds is quite amazing for the price you are paying. Both the mid-range and high-range sound quality is great. Also, the sound does not crack and distort, thus giving an immersive listening experience. This earbud also comes with Listening Care intelligent equalisation for full-range sound at lower listening volumes.

Talking about other features like ANC and Gaming mode, the earbuds lack them. Hence, I won’t recommend the Yamaha TW-E3B to audiophiles. But the sound quality for phone calls is decent enough. You might feel a bit of background noise due to no ANC, but the overall experience is good.

Yamaha is known for its good battery performance when it comes to earbuds. The brand claims to be offering 24 hours of playback time with these earbuds, including six hours on the buds and 18 hours on the case. However, the reality might differ a bit here. I used the earbuds for a week, and I can confirm the battery lasted for 22 hours on a single charge.

Other products like Oppo Enco X and Sony WF-1000XM3 also offer a similar battery life of around 18-22 hours. However, these earbuds come with a quick charging feature allowing an hour of playback time in just 5-10 minutes of charge. But Yamaha TW-E3B lacks this feature.

Coming to the charging time, the earbuds take two hours to get fully charged. There is no fast charging support, but that does not really matter when you are getting a decent battery life.

The Yamaha TW-E3B comes equipped with Bluetooth version 5.0, which is fast enough to pair and connect. The connectivity is quite stable with these earbuds. Also, the earbuds can be used with both Android and iOS devices.

Simply turn on the Bluetooth on your device and take the bud out of the case. You will see the bud’s name in the available Bluetooth devices on your phone. Tap on the required name, and the buds will be connected. It’s as simple as that.

Unlike most earbuds, the Yamaha TW-E3B has adopted a single physical button to play/pause music, adjust the volume or answer calls. The button is positioned a little off-the-centre on the buds; thus, no more pausing the music when you try to readjust the buds in your ears. If you have been using other earbuds, you might find the controls different here. For example, double tapping the right buds here means volume up and not skip to the next song.

Similarly, double-tap the left bud if you like to turn down the volume. To pause or play the music, you need to press the left earbud once and to skip forward, press and hold the right earbud for two seconds. You can take or end an incoming call by pressing the right earbud once.

You can also download the companion app- Headphones Controller, on your phone to access more features of the earbuds, like experience listening care and change the auto-power timer on and off. The app also shows an Update firmware section, but there was no update at the time of writing this review. So, in my opinion, you can skip downloading the app and still enjoy your listening experience.
