Realme Buds Air Design & Comfort
Let’s start the Realme Buds Air review with the design part. I have used the black model for my review here. The Realme Buds Air is similar to the Apple AirPods in terms of design. In fact, both the case and the buds feature an identical design to that of AirPods. The only notable difference is that the “stem” is thicker in the case of Realme.
Coming to the charging case, it is compact and lightweight. So, carrying it around in your pocket or holding it in hand is quite easy. The case has a very premium look and feel. On the front, you can find a LED light and a pairing button. At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C charging port and on the back, you can find a small “Designed by Realme” text.
Talking about the build quality, the Realme Buds Air is quite sturdy and is made up of rock-solid plastic with a glossy finish. The hinge of the case is amazing and the lid can be opened using one hand as well. Additionally, the lid closes with a very satisfying sound and you don’t have to worry about the hinge getting loose.
Inside the case, you can find the two earbuds. There is no battery indicator or LED light inside the case. The earbuds have a simple design with an exposed tip and a stem attached. Although the ear tip is not made up of plastic, yet the earbuds offer a great fit. You can keep doing your day-to-day activities like running, walking or exercising and the buds won’t fall.
Both earbuds have a LED light that shows the status of pairing. Also, the fit of the earbuds makes them ideal enough to be worn for long hours without causing any discomfort to the ears. The earbuds are so light that after a while, you might forget you are wearing something in your ears.

Realme Buds Air Audio Quality
Next, in my Realme Buds Air review, I will share my audio experience with the buds. I have been using the buds for more than a month now and I am really impressed with their sound quality. The earbuds come with 12mm drivers and the bass response is quite amazing. In fact, it is better than some of its competitors. The mids and lows work really nicely.
In terms of highs, at times, you might feel a bit of distortion but that’s the case when you are using buds above 90 per cent volume. Using the buds on 80 to 90 per cent volume will give you an immersive listening experience.
Talking about the latency, it is simply the best for the price. When you enter the gaming mode, you won’t experience any delay and all the sounds can be heard clearly and in detail. Taking calls on the Realme Buds Air might not be the best idea. The call quality is definitely above average but the buds do not come with an Active Noise Cancellation option.
Instead, you get an Environmental Noise Cancellation feature with the Realme Buds Air. So, the background noise will be minimized but not cut off completely and in case of much-crowded areas like offices, traffic or cafes, the background noise would be audible.

Realme Buds Air Battery Life & Charging
The Realme Buds Air has an average battery life. The brand claims to be offering up to 17 hours of playback time including the case on a single charge. While the buds can offer up to 3 hours of playback time on a single charge. When compared to the other earbuds like Realme Techlife Buds T100, this is quite less.
If you will use the buds continuously, it will last up to two days. I used the buds for three to four hours daily and did not feel the need to charge them for five days. Talking about the charging time, the TWS earbuds can be charged fully in two hours. They also come with wireless charging support which is a good addition to this price range.
Also, the buds can offer up to five additional full charges to the buds.

Realme Buds Air Features & Connectivity
The Realme Buds Air come equipped with Bluetooth Version 5.0. The connection is reliable and works well for a range of up to 7-8 metres. Pairing the buds with a new device is easy. All you need is to turn on the Bluetooth on the device and long-press the function key. The earbud’s name will appear in the available Bluetooth devices on your smartphone.
So, the next time when you take out the buds from the charging case, it will connect automatically. The Realme Buds Air come with a touch response. However, the touch-sensitive area is a bit small and it will take you some time to become aware of it fully.
When you double-tap either of the earbuds, it will play or pause the music or answer the call. Triple tapping the buds will skip you to the next song. If you press and hold one side for a long, it will launch the voice assistant or end the call. Similarly, press and hold both sides to enter or exit gaming mode.

That brings us to the end of our Realme Buds Air review! The TWS earbuds definitely offer a lot for the price but they might not be the best in today’s market. You can find its successor including Realme Buds Air 2 and Realme Buds Air 3 at more or less the same price. In that case, it won’t be a great idea to go for the Realme Buds Air. However, if you want good latency and bass at a lower price, the Realme Buds Air can truly justify your hunt.
