Review Summary

The Jabra Elite 75t TWS is a good pair of truly wireless in-ear earbuds that are an excellent upgrade over its popular predecessor, Jabra Elite Active 65t earbuds. There’s a lot to praise about them, with a fresh design, improved battery performance, and noticeably better sound quality.

They also have active noise cancellation (ANC) and produce deeper, thumper bass than the previous generation. I really appreciate Jabra for making a complete package without compromising much.

So are these better than Apple AirPods? Let’s answer that and more of your questions in this Jabra Elite 75t review.

Jabra Elite 75t Specs at a glance

Before we talk more about the Jabra Elite 75t, let’s see what on-paper specs look like:

  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0
  • Supported OS: Android & iOS
  • Battery: up to 7.5 hours (without ANC)
  • Weight: 5.5g (earbud), 35.4 g (case)

Jabra Elite 75t Design and Comfort

The earbuds’ physical appearance hasn’t changed all that much from the Jabra Elite 65t, their predecessor. The Elite 75t earbuds choose a small, discrete curved section in place of those, while the Elite 65t had a tad longer “stem” design pointing towards the user’s mouth.

The Jabra Elite 75t is entirely made of rubber and plastic, giving it a practical appearance and feel. Despite having a plastic build, the Elite 75t feels well-made and grippy, which helps to minimise accidental drops.

Moreover, the Jabra Elite 75t is 20 per cent smaller than the previous Jabra model. While that may not seem like much on paper, it makes a significant difference in everyday usage. They are extremely small and light, allowing them to fit snugly in my ears and put less stress in my ear canal and keep them in place.

Each earbud still has a single button. Despite its smaller size, the charging case of Elite 75t now has a longer battery life than the 65t charging case. Because of the smaller charging case, I was able to easily slip the earbuds into my jeans pocket.

On the back panel, there’s a type-C port for the bundled charging cable, as well as a status LED that indicates if the earbuds are charging or the software is being updated. They’re splash-resistant to IP55, so they’ll withstand your sweaty sessions at the gym but won’t survive if taken in the pool.

Jabra Elite 75t Audio Quality

The Jabra Elite 75t has good sound quality, but it didn’t strike me away. When compared to their predecessors, the 75t have a more satisfying, subtle sound with superb instrument separation, and it’s simple to keep the bass in control.

Given the Elite 75t’s compact size, I was surprised by its booming, deep, and impactful bass. It caught me off guard when I first turned them on. This is a treat for some listeners. This prominent low-end helps soften the sound and allows you to feel the deep ripples of bass in genres such as hip-hop and jazz.

The sensational boom is an excellent motivator for workout sessions, producing rhythms that you experience as much as you hear. They’re also ideal for watching movies. However, it can be a little much at times. Even after a lot of tweaking with the EQ settings, I couldn’t get rid of that bass completely.

The Jabra Elite 75t now has ANC thanks to an unexpected firmware update. When I first used the Elite 75t, I was impressed by its passive sound isolation. The Elite 75t’s new ANC capability, on the other hand, enhances that sense of isolation by creating an even quieter audio floor. It works really well.

Overall, the Elite 75t are among the good-sounding earbuds available, but they can’t match the level of the Sony WF-1000XM4.

Jabra microphones are well-known for their quality, and the Jabra Elite 75t is no different. People had no complaints when I used these for making phone calls. I could hear them clearly and so could they. It also minimised the background noise, like people chattering near me and the wind noise while walking on the streets.

Jabra Elite 75t Battery and Charging

The Jabra Elite 75t offers a good battery life. Let me be clear; it’s good, not great. Jabra claims a battery life of 7.5 hours on a single charge with ANC turned off. The case can charge the earbuds 3 more times.

So, in total, you can get somewhere around 28 hours of battery life which is on par with the competition. But once you turn on ANC, this number goes down to 5.5 hours of playback time, accordion to Jabra.

These numbers were pretty accurate, as per my testing. However, the battery life will depend on what volume level you are using the earbuds. You also get quick charging support which can give you a playback time of one hour with just 15 minutes of charging.

Jabra Elite 75t Features and Connectivity

The Elite 75t provides a solid and reliable connection to a wide variety of devices. They come with Bluetooth 5 support, and can pair with a maximum of eight devices, and can connect to two at the same time. To pair, simply press and hold both buttons at the same time for about three seconds.

Jabra Elite 75t Features

You can also download the Jabra Sound+ app on your Android and iOS devices to access all the features of the earbuds. The Jabra app allows you to save various EQ modes for listening in general, or while commuting, and so on, allowing the earbuds to adapt to almost any situation.

Each earbud has a single button. You can press the right button once for pausing or playing the track or twice to activate voice assistants like Google Assistant or Siri. Pressing the left button twice lets you skip the track, while pressing it thrice will let it go to the previous track. You can also enable hear-through mode by pressing the left button once.

You can control the volume by pressing and holding the buttons on the right (for increasing) and left (for decreasing). The music stops when one earbud is removed and resumes when you put it back in the ears within 60 seconds.

The hear-through mode sounds fairly common, which allows you to talk to a person without taking the earbuds out. It was pretty useful for maintaining awareness when crossing the roads or listening to announcements at airport/metro stations.

It’s also worth mentioning that if the ANC mode is not really producing the desired level of silence you want, the Sound+ app provides a variety of background soundscapes which will help you block out undesired noises. You can choose between pink noise, white noise, and various other nature sounds.

Verdict

Jabra is a well-known brand in the wireless audio industry, and the Jabra Elite 75t TWS earbuds confirm that the company has still not lost its charm. These earbuds are one of the best TWS buds you can get for under Rs. 10k.

They sound good, especially if you enjoy bass. They’re small and comfortable, with an ultra-compact case and a long-lasting battery.

If you’re looking for a good pair of compact TWS earbuds that has good sound quality, and function equally good with Android and iPhone, the Elite 75t is a great option.
