Samsung Galaxy Note with its large screen and a stylus is one of two Samsung premium phone series. In the report, it says that with the Note series gone, the S21 will instead get the Samsung Galaxy Note’s stylus. Moreover, the stylus is to make way to the next version of Samsung’s foldable phone, according to reports.

Furthermore, it will be compatible with the accessory that will not bundle with the device but sold separately. A second source says company development efforts that normally are directed to the Samsung Galaxy Note can channel into its foldable phone range.

Will the Samsung Galaxy Note series discontinue?

According to Aju News, Samsung intends to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in June next year. It will be a significant upgrade on the Galaxy Fold 2 and will feature S Pen support. In addition, it can also come equipped with an under-display camera. The phone is expecting to use second-generation Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG). It can help to prevent scratches when the users use the S Pen.

An analyst at Counterpoint says the sales of the Note series are expecting to fall by a fifth to 8 million this year. Citing sources, the report adds that Samsung appears to be discontinuing the Samsung Galaxy Note line-up so that it can double down its resources on its flagship Galaxy S and foldable Galaxy Z series of phones.

The report also adds that it is also working on a custom under-display camera solution. It can bring a truly full-screen experience for the Fold 3. However, many analysts believe that Samsung may not simply choose the foldable phone line-up over the Galaxy Note. Whereas, the decision to bring the Note line up to an end may be motivated by the declining profits in keeping it alive.
