Xiaomi 14 With Leica Lenses To Launch In India On This Date

Xiaomi has announced it will soon launch its Xiaomi 14 smartphone in India. The phone made its debut in China last year alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

It was the first smartphone to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and HyperOS, and it will soon arrive on Indian shores. Here is everything you need to know about the Xiaomi 14, including its specifications and launch date in India.

Xiaomi 14 To Launch in India On March 7

Xiaomi has announced on X (Formerly Twitter) that it will launch the Xiaomi 14 in India on the date March 7, 2024. However, there is no confirmation from the company whether the Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also debut alongside the phone.

The company has been teasing a partnership with Leica for a while, and the upcoming Xiaomi 14 will use Leica-branded lenses. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will debut in China on February 22, with a global launch at MWC later.

There is no indication of whether the Xiaomi 14 Pro or Ultra will arrive on Indian shores, as the country only saw the launch of the Xiaomi 13 Pro last year. The Xiaomi 14 currently retails for CNY 3,999 (around Rs.45,500) for the base variant, although the Indian pricing will likely be much higher.

Xiaomi 14 Specifications

The Xiaomi 14 sports a 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED LTPO panel with 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the display has Gorilla Glass Victus for protection and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powers the phone paired with up to 16GB of RAM. It runs on HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box with up to 1TB of internal storage.

For optics, the Xiaomi 14 will launch with a Leica branded 50-megapixel primary camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide angle lens and 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel shooter for taking selfies.

The phone packs a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. In addition, the phone has an IP68 rating, NFC and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
