Vivo S10, S10 Pro Launched with MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC in China: Price, Specs

Vivo has launched its mid-range smartphone series – Vivo S10 in China. This series includes both the vanilla variant – S10 and S10 Pro in its lineup. Just as its name suggests, it’s a successor to the Vivo S9 lineup that launched earlier this year. However, these two mid-range smartphones come with impressive specs and slim and flat designs. Although interestingly, this series brings photochromic backs that react to changes in light offering a unique-looking appearance. Vivo S10 Series Pricing, Availability

According to the company, its price is CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs 32,300) for the 8GB+128GB model. Whereas, it is CNY 2,999 (around Rs 35,000) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration. On the other hand, the Vivo S10 Pro price is CNY 3,399 (about Rs 39,000) for the sole 12GB+256GB configuration.

In terms of availability, both of these smartphones will be up for pre-orders in China from July 15th. It will go on sale in the country later starting July 23rd. However, the company has not clarified the availability of the Vivo S10 series outside of Chinese markets as of now. Although the launch of this series looks dicey as its predecessors are yet to make an entry to the Indian market.

Vivo S10 Pro Specifications

It features a 6.44-inch display with Super AMOLED technology and FHD+ resolution. However, this smartphone does not have a punch-hole on the screen for the front camera. Instead, it features a fairly wide notch on its screen. The reason for this is because of the two front cameras: a 44MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Under the hood, Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. In addition, it ships with the Android 11 operating system featuring FunTouch OS 11.1. Plus, it is available in 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 8GB RAM +128GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations.

Furthermore, in terms of camera, Vivo S10 Pro sports a triple-camera setup at the rear: a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.

The phone comes with a 4,000mAh battery and supports 44W charging. Connectivity options include support for two SIM cards, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Vivo S10 Specifications

Almost all of the specifications for this vanilla variant stand the same apart from one. The only difference is in its camera system – the rear camera setup. Unlike the Vivo S10 Pro 108MP primary camera, this vanilla S10 sports a 64MP primary sensor.
