Pixel 6 Series Faces Another Issue As Users Complaints Surface; Here’s All The Details

  • Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro fingerprint scanners are breaking. Even with its great updates and reviews, Pixel 6 series is still getting its fair share of issues. But ever since its launch, the series has been facing a hefty number of problems and issues. Surprisingly, the latest issue, which has surfaced relates to the fingerprint sensor on the smartphone.

    According to a report from Android Police and APK Pure founder Artem Russakovskii, the scanner is breaking down. As per reports, if a Pixel 6 series smartphone shuts down abruptly, the sensor failing to register new additions. Moreover, it may not even recognize already registered fingerprints on the device.

    Users on Reddit have raised complaints about a bug that prevents the fingerprint scanner from unlocking. This is happening when the phones fully run out of battery, and are restarting. Meanwhile, Google responded to those users by saying that it is lagging due to “enhanced security algorithms”. In some cases, though, the fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 6 series are apparently not that secure. It can also unlock the phone using an unregistered finger.

    However, this isn’t the first issue that the Pixel 6 has encountered with reference to its fingerprint sensor. According to reports, many users have complained about their Pixel 6 series phone being too sluggish in recognizing fingerprints. Google is yet to officially acknowledge it or provide a recourse. But since this is clearly a software glitch, Google is likely to address it in a fix in the near future.

    Some of the other issues that have surfaced are display flickering when powered off, slow fingerprint sensor, randomly ghost-dialing contacts, no 30W charging. In addition, carrier network is temporarily unavailable, Wi-Fi calling not working properly, erratic adaptive brightness, and second hole punch. Quite a list of problems Pixel 6 series has since its’ launch. Although most of them have fixes that are underway and some are yet to be fixed.
