Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister on Sunday gave a statement. He said that at least four cities of Odisha will get 5G telephony services. These services will be available by March 2023. Also, 80 per cent area of the state will be able to get the upgraded network by the end of next year.

The first phase of the launch of services will take place in the 200 big cities. It will then extend to other towns and rural areas. This statement was provided on the sidelines of a programme.
He also stated the time period for the first phase of launching the fifth-generation services. 5G services will roll out by March 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi October 1 launched the 5G services on October 1, 2022. The launch took place at the IMC 2022 event. These services have promised to ensure ultra-high-speed Internet on mobile phones. The fifth-generation services have rolled out in some selected cities.

Other Projects Analysis
Vaishnaw has also reviewed other ongoing railway projects in the state. He said that the work for the Khurda-Bolangir rail line has made “impressive progress”. Referring to some problems because of the railway tracks. As 100-kilometre of the area pass through forest areas covering the route.
He said the Bhubaneswar railway station will change into a world-class facility. Even stated that the plan and design are done. The work for the upgrade of the station is already done. Even, the “bhumi pujan” will happen soon as per Vaishnaw.

In the first phase, 13 major cities such as Ahmadabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gandhinagar, and Gurugram will get the 5G services. Even includes Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Delhi and Mumbai.
