Motorola is reportedly working on its’ next flagship which will power on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. As per reports, Chen Jing, General Manager of Lenovo, teased its launch on Twitter’s Chinese counterpart Weibo. The post is showing a retail box of Motorola’s upcoming phone. In addition, it also shows a caption hinting towards a Q1 2021 launch. Moreover, they will be offering users many interesting features on the company’s new premium offering.

However, courtesy to rumor mills, we have a rough idea of what the smartphone could be about. This is the second premium smartphone Motorola can be working on. Another one is a device with Snapdragon 865 with the codename ‘Motorola Nio” online on more than one occasion.
Chen said that the presentation of the phone will take place very soon. Additionally, the phone can come with many interesting features. Qualcomm Snapdragon shared the list of manufactures that would launch smartphones with Snapdragon 888 SoC and Motorola was one of them.

Motorola Next Smartphone Specs
The Motorola smartphone can power on the Snapdragon 888 SoC. In addition, it can have a high refresh rate AMOLED panel, support for fast charging and reverse wireless charging, and an under-display fingerprint scanner, as per a report by 91Mobiles. No other details are available yet on the upcoming Motorola smartphone. The company hasn’t officially confirmed a Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone, either.

Announcing the latest chipset, Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager of mobile, compute and infrastructure, Qualcomm Technologies, had said, “Qualcomm’s history of breakthrough technology inventions has paved the way for our continued leadership in the premium-tier mobile segment. The new flagship Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform will enable OEMs to further differentiate their devices and allows users to experience the latest cutting-edge mobile technologies.”
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC has a third-generation Snapdragon X60 modem that brings support for 5G sub-6 carrier aggregation and mmWave to provide up to 7.5Gbps speeds. It also offers enhanced AI experiences through a new AI Engine. The new Qualcomm SoC posted a score of 735,439 in the AnTuTu test and scored 1,135 in Geekbench single-core test.
