Xiaomi’s MIUI 12.5 update rolled out as a much needed optimisation update earlier this year. We are now seeing it roll out to a bunch of different devices. Recently, the entry level Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi 8A Dual got the MIUI 12.5 update. Now, the newly launched Mi 11 Lite is getting the MIUI 12.5 update in India. The MIUI 12.5 stable update is based on Android 11 and also brings the August Security Patch update to the device.

Further, the MIUI 12.5 update comes with the firmware version of MIUI 12.5.2.0.RKOINXM. One of the most vital features of the update is the fact that it allows users to finally get rid of some system apps as well. The update brings more fluid UI animations as well. This offers a more seamless experience to the users when transitioning between recent apps, closing apps and more.

According to Xiaomi, the MIUI 12.5 takes up 35 percent less background data and 25 percent less power when compared to other MIUI versions. The MIUI 12.5 update now brings a gesture shortcut to the Mi 11 Lite. This allows users to create notes and excerpts anytime anywhere.

Excerpts now save texts, URLs, and images to Notes in just a couple of taps.

Notes now get dynamic layouts which changes the overall aesthetics to a whole new level

Complex structure have been added as well for users to make their dreams come to reality.

Users get new tools in order to doodle and sketch out their ideas

Further, users can just long press on a particular sketch to automatically adjust the strokes.

The MIUI 12.5 update for Mi 11 Lite will be an incremental update like the others. If you have not received the update, you can manually check the update by heading to Settings>About Phone>MIUI version>Check for updates.
