Redmi 12 5G launch: Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G is poised to enter the Indian market on August 1. The company has officially revealed the launch date, along with essential specifications, design details, and available colour choices. The smartphone will feature a triple rear camera system and will be available in three different colours in India. However, there is still no official confirmation from Redmi regarding the release of two versions of the Redmi 12 – one with 4G and another with 5G capabilities.
Ahead of the official launch, a reliable tipster has disclosed the pricing of both variants in India, along with sharing live images of the handset.
Tipster on Upcoming Redmi 12
The Redmi 12 series will include two models: Redmi 12 4G and Redmi 12 5G as per rumours. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), the Redmi 12 4G will have 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants, starting at Rs. 9,999. The Redmi 12 5G is expected in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB options, with prices starting at Rs. 13,999. While the possibility of the Redmi 12 launching soon in India has been leaked, an official confirmation is still pending.
The tipster, Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), has not only leaked pricing details but also shared live images of the Redmi 12 5G. These images indicate that the phones will run on Android 13-based MIUI 14 OS right from the start. Furthermore, Redmi has already provided glimpses of the phone’s design through official teasers.

Availability
Redmi has officially disclosed the available colour choices for the Redmi 12, which include Jade Black, Moonstone Silver, and Pastel Blue. The phone’s design features three slightly raised circular cutouts housing the triple rear camera sensors, along with an LED Flash. Among the camera setup, a notable 50-megapixel main camera will be one of the key highlights of the handset.
Redmi has officially confirmed that the Redmi 12 5G will offer memory configurations of up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will also offer a substantial 5,000mAh battery. Furthermore, the company has hinted that the phone’s price will be below Rs. 10,000. Additionally, the handset’s design will feature a water drop notch display, as teased by Redmi.
