Apple devices are usually difficult to fix, but this will soon change with the new iPhone 15 Pro series. The company claims the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a new internal design that is easier to repair. As the Right to Repair movement gains momentum, companies are now adopting policy changes to make it easy for consumers to fix their devices.
iPhone 15 Pro Models Are Easier To Fix
Apple’s new iPhone 15 Pro models have a redesigned frame, allowing users to remove the back glass panel easily. The company implemented this design change with the Apple iPhone 14 and Apple iPhone 14 Plus. However, the iPhone 14 Pro models did not feature this redesign, making them harder to repair.

Apple announced at its Wonderlust event that this redesigned frame will be available in the iPhone 15 Pro series. This means now you can easily open both the front and back glass panels. The last iPhone to offer access to both glass panels was the Apple iPhone 4S, launched in 2011.
iPhone 15 Pro Series Back Panel Replacement Cost Will Be Cheaper
The move will certainly be a relief for consumers who will need to spend less money on repairing their broken glass panels. The company charges Rs.14,900 for back glass replacement and Rs.16,900 to iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus users. This cost is significantly higher for Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max users, where consumers need to pay Rs.52,900 and Rs.59,900, respectively.

While the back panel replacement cost for the iPhone 15 series is not mentioned on Apple’s website, we can expect them to be cheaper. The back panel replacement cost will be significantly less this year, especially for iPhone 15 Pro users. Apple offers a service called AppleCare+ that includes accidental damage protection and replacement parts at a reduced price. The back glass replacement cost is just Rs.2,500 if you are an Apple Care+ member.
The iPhone 15 Series will go on sale starting September 22, with pre-orders beginning September 15. The new models will be available in all Apple Stores (BKC and Saket), Apple Online stores and all major retailers.
