GTA 6 Leak Reveals Huge Gameplay Changes Planned By Rockstar

Rockstar Games is all set to announce GTA 6 next month by releasing its first trailer. The next iteration in the Grand Theft Auto franchise will bring significant changes when it comes to gameplay.

Fans have a lot of expectations for the Grand Theft Auto franchise after the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, and Rockstar has some significant changes in store. A new leak has revealed the map size and features that the Take Two-owned company is planning for GTA 6.

GTA 6 Map Leak Indicates It Could Be Bigger Than GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto VI will be set in Vice City, a fictional city inspired by Miami. This will be similar to the 2002’s GTA: Vice City, which featured the same open-world environment. However, the map could be exponentially larger than all previous Grand Theft Auto titles.

According to a post by user Jason from Gta 6 on X (Formerly Twitter), the GTA 6 map will be larger than the current GTA 5 map. The user created the map based on leaked clips to get the coordinates and calculate the distance between them.

Based on leaks, the distance between Vice City and Port Gellhorn on the map will cover the entire map of GTA 5. Furthermore, this estimated map does not include the northern sections of the city, as it did not appear in the leaks.

This means that the overall map of GTA 6 could be even larger than GTA 5. Given the demanding graphics and huge map size, it won’t be a surprise if the game takes up a lot of storage. It will likely be available only for the next-gen consoles, including the PS5 and the Xbox One X.

Grand Theft Auto VI Will Not Include Extreme Weather Conditions

Another leak by Rockstar Universe claims that the developer could scrap a major GTA 6 gameplay feature known as extreme weather conditions.

A previous leak indicated that the next iteration of the Grand Theft Auto series will have hurricanes and cyclones that could cause havoc. Furthermore, a VFX job listing at Rockstar England suggested the game will have skyscraper destruction due to hurricane winds and tornadoes.

However, the developer will not add this feature owing to hardware or tech limitations. This could be because the gameplay feature is graphically demanding, especially for the current-gen consoles.

GTA 6 Could Have A Child Protagonist

GTA 6 will have two playable protagonists, Jason and Lucia, inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. It will also be the first Grand Theft Auto Game with a female protagonist.

A leak claims that Lucia has a child as part of the game’s storyline and will appear in the cutscenes. It is likely to have an impact on the story, but there is no clarity if the child character is playable or not.
