Telecom service provider Airtel has decided to reduce the price of their Xstream Box price by Rs. 499 to Rs. 2,000. This revised pricing can be availed only by customers who choose the Xstream Box option when getting a new Digital TV connection.

In addition to the revised pricing, the direct-to-home (DTH) set-top box also offers complimentary subscriptions to over-the-top or OTT apps including Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. The company had introduced the Xstream Box and the Xstream Stick to the market in September 2019. Initially, both these devices came with a price of Rs. 3,999.
Airtel Xstream Box Price Dropped
According to the web archives, the Xstream Box had a price tag of Rs2499 until recently. The price mentioned on the Airtel website has changed to Rs.2000 now. It also comes with a complimentary subscription to Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLIV, Eros Now, Hungama, and many others.

This offer seems to be applicable for a limited time only for customers who book a new connection. This can be done by putting in a request online, or even by going to your local authorised dealers.
The Xstream Box runs on Android 9.0 Pie-based Android TV OS and comes with preloaded Google Play. With Google Play, customers gain access to over 5,000 apps and games. It also comes with Chromecast support for streaming content from your smartphone.

Besides support for OTT apps, Airtel’s Xstream Box also works with usual DTH services. Users need to keep their Airtel DTH account recharged with a minimum monthly amount of Rs. 153 to get access to both OTT content and DTH services. Users can also get access to 15 Indian and global OTT platforms under one roof with Xstream Premium. It starts at a monthly price of Rs. 149 or for Rs. 1,499 a year
