2021 has started with a massive announcement for smartphone solution brand, Cashify. It has raised $15 million in a recent round of funding. The Series D round came from private equity Olympus Capital’s clean energy and sustainability arm, Asia Environmental Partners.
Cashify which is known throughout India as a mobile re-commerce platform, has managed to grow stronghold in the smartphone ecosystem of the country of late. Majorly known for its mobile phone buyback solutions, Cashify has widened its turf to the domains of mobile repair, mobile accessories and refurbished mobile as well. Besides, due to the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 which forced children around the globe to be stuck within their homes, Cashify has initiated a drive called Donate For Education which enables people to donate their old smartphones, laptops and tablets for underprivileged children to carry out their online classes.
Before the recent round of investment, Cashify already last secured investment in 2018 from Chinese biggies CDH Investments, Morningside and Aihuishou. As a cumulative number, Cashify now has about $40 million worth of funding.
