Cashify Survey: Mi, Apple, Samsung Dominated Second-hand Phone Market In 2019

“Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi are consumer favourites in the organised second-hand and refurbished smartphone market, as per a new study”- The Economic Times.

To understand the 2019 smartphone market better, we at Cashify took a closer look at the second hand mobile phones market over the last year. One of our main findings was the most sold brands. This has been determined by looking at which smartphone brands people sold the most after using them. Xiaomi appeared to be on top of the charts. With 27% handsets belonging to this Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi smartphones proved to be the most sold devices by their former owners. Samsung was the second on the list with 16% share in the second hand smartphones sold by their users.

Our study took various other aspects of the second smartphones market. These include the cities where people are selling their used smartphones the most, at what time most people sell their used phones, which city breaks the most number of mobile phone screens, and which city has the maximum number of people who tell the accurate truth about their phones while putting them up for sale in the second hand market and so on.
