Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Specifications Leak Ahead of Launch

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Fan Edition (FE) could launch next month. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE specifications leak has revealed details about the smartphone.

The FE series is famous for offering flagship features at a mid-range price, and it seems like the S23 FE will continue the trend. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launched last year is a testament to the series’ success, as Samsung has released the same phone twice with different processors underneath.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Could Release in September

According to a tweet by tipster Yogesh Brar, the S23 FE will launch in September. The phone will feature a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Samsung Exynos 2200, depending on the region. A previous leak suggests it could pack up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Regarding optics, it could sport a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel (possibly ultrawide) and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 10-megapixel camera on the front. The phone will run One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13. It will receive software updates for four years and security updates for five years.

Furthermore, it will pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W charging. Other features include wireless charging support and an IP rating for dust and water resistance. The phone will be the cheapest offering in the S23 lineup and a comprehensive over the year-old S21 FE.

Earlier reports suggested that Samsung had cancelled the FE lineup due to the chip shortage. However, this might not turn out to be true. SamMobile had earlier reported that the S23 FE will launch in select markets in Q3 2023 before getting a wider release, which corresponds with the information written by Brar.
