Sony WF-1000XM3 Design And Comfort
Starting my Sony WF-1000XM3 with the design part. Unlike the competitors, the Sony WF-1000XM3 is big. The overall weight of these TWS earbuds is 100 grams. Also, the charging case is not as easily pocketable as that of other earbuds like AirPods Pro or Realme Buds Air.
The case is made up of plastic but gives a premium feel. There is a small LED status light on the outside of the case, which illuminates when the earbuds are charging. At the back, you get a Type-C charging port. The charging case features a magnetic interior that secures the earbuds comfortably on the charging pins. You don’t need too much effort to open the case. In fact, I was able to open the lid using one hand as well. Furthermore, you don’t get a quick pairing button with this earbud.
Coming to the earbuds, they are quite light in weight and are again made up of plastic with rubber tips. The top of each bud features the touch area which you can use to perform actions. Under the hood, both the bud come with dual microphones to fight external noise.
Although you get additional six pairs of eartips with the Sony WF-1000XM3 to find your perfect fit, it can be challenging to keep the earbuds in place while running or exercising. As for me, I had to continuously shove the buds back into the ears.
Also, the design of the earbuds can make it painful to wear the buds for longer hours. I could only wear them for 15-20 minutes before the discomfort started to kick in.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 lacks water-resistance support, which can be a point of concern for many. But I will leave that to you to decide.

Sony WF-1000XM3 Audio Quality
The Sony WF-1000XM3 is a true stunner when it comes to sound quality. However, it falls short on some grounds, like the bass. It can be a hit or miss. Talking about the highs and lows, they have been balanced perfectly. No matter the genre of the songs, the earbuds do a great job of delivering the perfect sound.
I listened to all sorts of audio using the Sony WF-1000XM3, and the sound quality impressed me majorly. Not for even a second did the voice distort.
The USP of the Sony WF-1000XM3 is definitely Active Noise Cancellation support. The ANC is so good that it worked in almost all crowded setups. I tested the earbuds in traffic, in the room and in my office. It worked well everywhere.
The call quality offered by the Sony WF-1000XM3 is outstanding. The microphone and ANC worked excellently, and the person on the other end was able to hear me quite clearly.

Sony WF-1000XM3 Battery Life & Charging
Next in the Sony WF-1000XM3 review, I will talk about the playback time. Officially, Sony claims to be offering 32 hours of playback time with the Sony WF-1000XM3, including 8 hours on the earbuds and 24 hours on the charging case. This is without ANC.
With ANC, this TWS earbud offers 24 hours of playback time, including 6 hours on the buds and 18 hours on the charging case. However, in reality, I got almost six and a half hours of playback time on a single charge.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 comes with fast charging support. So, in just 10 minutes, you get 90 minutes of playback time. Also, the case offers three additional full charges. Overall, the Sony WF-1000XM3 is a charmer when it comes to battery life.

Sony WF-1000XM3 Features And Connectivity
The Sony WF-1000XM3 comes equipped with Bluetooth version 5.0, which is fast enough to pair and connect. The connectivity is quite stable with these earbuds. Also, the earbuds can be used with both Android and iOS devices.
This TWS earbud comes with a touch response. You can touch the top of the earbuds to set the volume, change tracks, accept/reject calls, activate voice assistant and more. Also, the Sony WF-1000XM3 comes with an in-ear detection feature. This means taking one bud out of the ear will pause the audio on both, and putting it back in the ear will resume the audio.
A quick tap on the left earbud lets you swap between hear-through and noise-cancelling modes. Likewise, a continuous press on the left will activate quick attention mode. A single tap on the right can play or pause the music. A double tap on the right can change to the next track; a triple tap can change to the previous track. Long pressing the right earbud will activate the voice assistant.
You get plenty of features with this earbud, including a built-in voice assistant, hands-free calling, and the support of the Headphones Connect app. The app can be further used to customize the controls.

That concludes my Sony WF-1000XM3 review. Although the Sony WF-1000XM3 came a lot before but still has a lucrative set of features to offer to the users. The earbuds are placed at a higher price end. However, when it comes to powerful active noise cancellation at this price range, there is hardly a match. The fit can be a point of question for some people as the buds are larger than the regular size. But the sound quality and large battery life make it worth it.
