The latest update comes from leakster @choco_bit on Twitter who posted an image giving a detailed specification of the iPhone 13 rear camera setup.
It includes a primary 64MP camera bearing 1x optical zoom and 6x digital zoom. Further, the secondary lens is a 40MP telephoto sensor with 3x to 5x optical and 15x to 20x digital zoom. This is flanked with a tertiary 64MP anamorphic lens with an aspect ratio 2.1:1 associated with it which is confusing since anamorphic lenses don’t have such aspect ratio. Finally, there’s a 40MP ultrawide lens with optical reverse zoom and there’s a LiDAR 4.0 tagged along with the quad-camera setup.

Now there are a series of questions around the leak. It could be just a rumor or something leading to the iPhone 13 series if not all in one piece. We are almost two years away from the iPhone 13 launch which raises red flags as to how we could get so many details about the camera so soon. Also, it could be true but it will probably undergo a series of changes as the source has clearly mentioned that we need to take it with a huge amount of salt.

Also, we don’t know much about iPhone 12 series cameras so these exact details about iPhone 13 cameras seems alleged at this moment. At the end of the day, the primary 64MP could materialize into something Apple would pick and for rest of the specifications, we will have to wait until there’s further information available on it. Apparently, iPhone 12 series launch is reportedly delayed by two months due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic so could this affect iPhone 13 series as well. Stay tuned to find out.
