The company is expected to launch two new phones in the series – Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro, on 12 March 2020 at noon.
In the tweet, Manu Kumar Jain, Global VP of Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India, can be seen using a phone with its lower half exposed. Redmi Note 9 is the successor of the Redmi Note 8 and therefore interesting features for its price can be expected below the Rs 20,000 mark.
It is also being said that it would be ready for heavy-duty gaming with a powerful chipset. The company is also selling the device to be a beast at fast charging.

Rumoured Specs of Redmi Note 9
The device is expected to have a 6.4-inch display featuring an FHD+ IPS LCD screen, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. Although there is no upgrade in the camera which is a major setback for many of us. The Redmi Note 9 will have the same rear camera setup with a 48 MP sensor as a primary camera as seen the Redmi Note 8. The front camera remains the same 13 MP and the device will not support 5G. The phone has a Type-C port, headphone jack, and speaker.
Also, the device will not come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor but a side fingerprint sensor integrated with the power button.

The Note 9 Pro is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset. Furthermore, there are reports that this device will support both NSA and SA dual-mode 5G connectivity with 22.5W quick charging. It is expected that the Redmi Note 9 Pro could adopt a high-screen ratio and refresh rate of 90Hz or 120Hz.
The leaks from the internet highlight a new design, processor, and gaming features and fast charging technology on the latest Redmi Note models.
Expected Price
The Redmi Note 9 is expected to be in price range ₹11,190 for the 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage variant and Redmi Note 9 Pro is expected to be priced at ₹15,990 for the base variant.
