Xiaomi 14 Lite Gets Certified On BIS, Could Launch In India Soon

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphones in India, which feature Leica-branded camera lenses and top-of-the-line specifications. The company could soon introduce a third member of the Xiaomi 14 family, likely the Xiaomi 14 Lite 5G. Xiaomi 14 Lite Gets BIS Certification, India Launch Imminent

A new Xiaomi smartphone with model number 24053PY09I has received certification from BIS and will likely be the Xiaomi 14 Lite. Furthermore, the phone claims to have a model number similar to the Xiaomi Civi 4, which has the 24053PY09C number.

Xiaomi could rebrand the Civi 4 and launch it as the Xiaomi 14 Lite in India. As a reminder, the Xiaomi Civi 2 made its debut as the Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G globally, although it did not launch in India.

The last phone from the Chinese giant bearing the Lite moniker to launch in India was the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G in October 2021. It seems the Lite series is making a comeback after a two-year gap in the country.

Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G and Xiaomi 13 Lite in global markets, but they did not arrive in India. With the Xiaomi 14 Lite, the company seems to be bringing this series back to the country.

14 Lite Expected Specifications

The Xiaomi 14 Lite will likely sport a 1.5k curved OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh. Furthermore, it could have a dual camera setup on the front with a pill cutout similar to Dynamic Island on iPhones.
