Apple has demonstrated in its patent application that the MacBook might enable the Apple Pencil in the future. In addition, a different graphic suggests that the MacBook’s edge or chassis will also accommodate the installation of the Apple Pencil, so there may be a place for it to rest while the lid is closed.
While resting in the laptop’s docking station, the Apple Pencil may also function as a mouse. Instead of the F-key row, the retainer features a high-end lighting system.
