OnePlus launched their OnePlus 9R back in March alongside two other OnePlus 9 series devices. The 9R is the most affordable smartphone by the company in the 9 series. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro started receiving the OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 update earlier this week. Now, the update has finally started rolling out to OnePlus 9R devices in India.
The update brings some features the smartphone users have been looking forward to for quite some time now. These features include an Always-On display, the July Android security patch and the Bitmoji AOD feature. Additionally, the update also brings various optimisations to the device.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 9R gets the new Bitmoji AOD feature for its Ambient Display. The new feature allows users to set a personal Bitmoji avatar to the smartphone’s Always-On Display. Users of the smartphone can toggle it on by navigating to Settings > Customisation > Clock on Ambient Display > Bitmoji. The Bitmoji feature has been designed in collaboration with Snapchat. Additionally, the smartphone also gets a screenshot feature for the AOD.
However, one thing to note is that the update is slowly rolling out so, not all OnePlus 9R users will get the update at once. It will first be pushed to a small percentage of people and then gradually roll out to everyone. In order to check if you have received the update, navigate to Settings > System > System updates.
