Apple Working On New iPad Air With Bigger Screen: All Details!

Apple is planning to launch a new iPad Air with a larger screen. The company recently announced a new Apple Pencil with a USB-C port. It was also reported that the Cupertino giant will unveil its new iPad lineup by the end of this year. Now, details about the upcoming Apple iPad Air have emerged, suggesting a larger screen.

Apple iPad Air Will Have 12.9-inch Screen

Currently, the iPad Air is available in a single size of 10.9-inch, but this could change with the launch of the next-generation iPad lineup. According to a report by DigiTimes citing “industry sources”, the company is working on a 12.9-inch iPad Air.

This will be the biggest iPad Air tablet to date, with a screen size on par with the iPad Pro 12.9-inch. The report claims it will use an LCD instead of the mini-LED on the more expensive iPads.

Since this is likely based on supply chain sources, Apple’s supply chain providers are working on a 12.9-inch LCD panel. Currently, there is no product from the company that uses a 12.9-inch LCD panel.

A previous report from 9to5Mac revealed Apple is working on two six-generation iPad Air models. This could be the upcoming iPad Air with a 10.9-inch screen and a 12.9-inch screen. It could have four variants, each with Wi-Fi and cellular models.

The iPad Air fifth generation, launched last year, is available in 10.9-inch size and uses a M1 chipset. The upcoming iPad Air will have a larger display and a new M2 processor. The next generation iPad Pros will also have major upgrades with a new OLED screen and M3 chip.
