Earlier this year, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 got many significant upgrades in its design from its original variant. Now, it looks the company has already started working on Fold 3, according to a report from The ELEC. The upgrades include a full-screen cover display, higher screen refresh rate, improved hinge design, and more. However, the one thing it did not have was – the in-display camera in its design upgrade.

On the other hand, reports suggest it will bring the tech next year one way or another. It will reportedly be the first foldable phone from the tech giant to be equipped with an under-display camera. This, in turn, will give a completely full-screen experience. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 launch is expected in 2021.

Moreover, Fold 3 is going to be the first smartphone from the brand to feature the in-display camera. It also reportedly scrapped the tech for its upcoming Galaxy S21 flagship. However, it happened due to the low production yields with the tech. So, the punch-hole cutout display will stay in the next-gen S21 and Note 21 flagships.

On the other hand, this is not the first time we have heard about this rumor for Fold 3. Months ago, there was a leaked image of the first smartphone. It did not show any type of punch-hole cutout for front camera sensors. This only suggests an in-display camera.
