Couple days ago, Vivo launched their X80 series of flagship smartphones in China. Now, the smartphones are officially set to make their way to India. The series consists of the Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro. Recently, both the devices made an appearance on multiple certification websites as well, indicating their India launch.
Now, Vivo India took to a landing site to reveal the official launch date of the series. The flagship series of smartphones is all set to arrive to India on May 18, 2022. Prior to that, the series will go official globally on May 8, 2022.

Vivo X80 Specs
Talking about the vanilla Vivo X80 specs first, you get to see a big 6.78-inch full-HD+ E5 AMOLED display. In addition, the display also comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of software, the smartphone runs on Android 12 with the OriginOS custom skin on top.
On the processor front, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. This flagship chipset is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. With the performance of the device out of the way, let us talk about its optics now.

The vanilla model comes with a triple rear camera setup. This setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and another 12-megapixel 2x optical zoom telephoto sensor. At the front, the smartphone comes with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
When it comes to battery, the smartphone packs a decent 4,500mAh battery. Additionally, this rated battery capacity pairs up with 80W fast charging support.
Vivo X80 Pro Specs
Moving on to the more premium Pro variant, it offers the same 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display. However, this is a 2K display, but offers the same 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of software, you get to see the same Android 12 with OriginOS custom skin on top, obviously.
Under the hood, the Pro variant is powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. This flagship chipset pairs up with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Additionally, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant for the model as well.
The Vivo X80 Pro brings a quad rear camera setup to the tablet, as opposed to the triple rear camera setup on the vanilla model. In this setup, you get to see a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel portrait sensor and an 8-megapiel periscope sensor with 5x optical and a staggering 60x optical zoom. At the front, you get to see the same 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

Talking about the battery capacity, you get to see a slightly larger 4,700mAh battery. However, the battery pairs up with the same 80W fast charging tech as the vanilla Vivo X80.
