  • Realme, recently unveiled its all-new 240W fast charging technology which will likely debut with the Realme GT Neo 5 5G. A few days ago, the live images of the charger surfaced online which reveals that it has SuperVOOC branding. The Realme GT Neo 5 will likely debut in February. However, the company hasn’t confirmed its launch date. The brand confirmed via its official Weibo website that the GT Neo 5 will be the first phone from the brand to feature the latest 240W charging technology.

    The handset will feature 13 inbuilt temperature sensors, a PS3 fire protection design and a full link safety monitoring mechanism. Additionally, a report suggests that the handset will most likely arrive in two variants with different batteries and fast charging configurations. It will most likely feature a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and 6.7 inch OLED display along with a 144Hz refresh rate.     The company claims that it uses a three-way 100W charge pump parallel design, 20V 12A input, and 10V 24A output to reach 98.5 per cent charging conversion efficiency. The company offers a 12A charging cable with 21AWG thickened copper wires. Which offers increased current carrying capacity by 20 per cent over the previous generation charging solution. Additionally, it will use a 240W dual GaN mini charging adaptor to get the highest power density of 2.34W.

    Moreover, its 240W charging technology includes 13 temperature sensors. A PS3 fireproof design, a real-time safety monitoring system, and 6580 mm2 graphene phase-change cooling material along with a 6580mm² heat dissipation area. Additionally, the brand claims that the latest technology offers 1,600 charging cycles. Furthermore, the latest technology is said to not affect the battery life. As tests conducted revealed that it was over 80 per cent even after 1,600, 0-100 per cent full charging cycles. Moreover, the company claims that no safety failure was evident at 85 degrees high temperature. And 85 per cent high humidity environment after 21 days of the testing period.
