Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the Overwatch 2 PvP closed beta will begin on April 26, 2022. The news came via a developer update just last week, and it features four new maps, the Push game style, and a new hero named Sojourn. Those interested in joining the beta should go to the official website or click on the link in the tweet below. A range of elements, including the Battle, will be used to choose participants.
To participate in the beta, players must own a copy of Overwatch 1. Blizzard is likely to include a drop-down menu in the launcher where users can scroll to the ‘In Development’ option and select the closed beta option. They conduct PTR (Public Test Region) sessions similarly. Because the closed beta is only available on PC, console users will get the final version of the game.

Overwatch 2 PvP: Player Details
If selected, players will receive an email invitation associated with the Battle.net account, providing direct access to the application. The studio has not confirmed the number of players includes in the beta but will base it on their testing needs.

Overwatch 2 will debut Sojourn, a new white-haired hero, as well as the new 5v5 game format that players have been requesting since the GOAT meta in 2019. Two damage, one tank, and two support characters will henceforth confine to a 2-1-2 composition. Doomfist, the hero, has been switched to the tank role as part of the update.
There are also four new maps, starting with the Escort map ‘Circuit Royal’ and the Hybrid map ‘Midtown.’ Then there’s the new Push mode, which is effectively an opposing tug-of-war in which the two teams try to push the objective to one side or the other. Blizzard is releasing two new maps called ‘New Queen Street’ and ‘Colosseo’ to help with this.
