OPPO A78 5G is all set to launch on January 16, 2023, in the country. However, ahead of its official launch, the price of the handset has been revealed. It will come as a successor to the OPPO A77 5G and will arrive as the latest 5G offering from the brand. The smartphone has arrived at offline stores across the country. Which gives the users a sneak peek into the box price of the handset. However, chances are that the actual price may differ a little.
The smartphone is likely to come with a waterdrop notch for the selfie shooter, dual camera sensors on the back, and a side-mounted fingerprint shooter. The handset will likely cost Rs 18,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version in India. The smartphone is currently up for pre-booking and will be live for sale from January 18, 2023. However, the company is yet to confirm the price details of the upcoming handset. Coming to the specifications, the handset features a 6.5-inch HD Plus LCD along with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper. It runs on Android 13-based ColorOS custom skin out of the box. Moreover, it comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage is further expandable via a microSD card.
Regarding camera configuration, the smartphone features a dual rear camera unit. Which includes a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel wide-angle lens. Additionally, it comes with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats. The handset measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 188 grams. Moreover, the smartphone can support a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and connectivity features such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
