Apple Fitness+ service unveiled along with the Apple Watch Series 6 in September. It is the first fitnessexperience, especially around Apple Watch. Finally, the service is launching Monday, December 14. Moreover, it will offer 10 of the most popular workout types, including high-intensity interval training (HIIT), strength, yoga, dance, core, cycling, treadmill (for running and walking), rowing, and mindful cooldown.

Apple Fitness+ brings studio-style workouts to iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV, intelligently incorporating workout metrics from AppleWatch. Additionally, the workouts will fuel with inspiring music from today’s top artists. It will keep users motivated from start to finish. This service is an immersive and personalized experience for users.
Apple Fitness+ Price, Subscription trial period, Availability
The service will be available from December 14, the company has confirmed. It is launching as a subscription service for $9.99 (roughly Rs. 700) per month or $79.99 (roughly Rs. 5,800) per year in the US. Additionally, it can be shared with up to six family members at the same price.

As an introductory offer, buyers of Apple Watch Series 3 or later will be offered three months of free Apple Fitness+ service. On the other hand, existing users will get one month of Fitness+ subscription. Apple Fitness+ will initially be available in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the US.
Moreover, this workout service is also bundling in the Apple One Premier plan. Apple One is available for $29.95 (roughly Rs. 2,200) per month and also offers access to Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and 2TB of iCloud storage. Apple One Premier plan can also be shared with up to six family members.
Apple Fitness+ Features
The company has roped in a team of trainers that have designed workouts in different formats. They are fuelled by inspiring music from current top artists to help keep the motivation at maximum. Workout types include high intensity interval training (HIIT), strength, yoga, dance, core, cycling, treadmill (for running and walking), rowing, and mindful cooldown.

Apple Fitness+ will also offer animated personal metrics during the workout. Additionally, there is an immersive experience that takes into account what the trainer says. “When the trainer says to check heart rate, the heart rate metrics are spotlighted; during tough intervals, a countdown timer starts to help users get through to the last second; and when they close their Activity rings, a celebration happens right on the workout screen,” Apple explains on its blog. Workout options range from no equipment to a set of dumbbells. It also includes cycling, treadmill, and rowing workouts. Most workout sessions range in increments of 10, 20, 30, and 45 minutes.
Which devices will be compatible with this service?
It is compatible with Apple Watch Series 3 and higher. Users will need to make sure their Watch pairs with iPhone 6s and later models of iPhone. In addition, it is also compatible with iPhone SE. From a software perspective, users will need to have watchOS 7.2 and iOS 14.3. For iPhone users who own an Apple Watch, Apple Fitness+ will automatically appear as the center tab in the Fitness app on their iPhone.
Additionally, the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD supports Apple Fitness+. iPad users will have to download the Fitness app from the App Store. Fitness+ requires iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad mini 4 or later, iPad Air 2, or iPad Air (3rd generation or later). On Apple TV, the Fitness app will automatically appear once the user upgrades to tvOS 14.3.

It also intelligently recommends workouts based on what the user enjoys, offers suggestions to try something new. Moreover, it also helps in discovering a new trainer and proposes a workout to complement their current routine. To get a workout started, Apple Fitness+ offers a series of options that allow users to choose their trainer, time, workout, and music to get to their next workout. There is also an Activity Sharing feature that allows family and friends to see Fitness+ workouts completed, and workouts can also be shared to their favorite social media channels.
Apple says that an “Apple Music subscription is not required to enjoy the music in Fitness+, but for those who have one, favorite songs or an entire playlist from Fitness+ workouts can be downloaded to their Apple Music library to listen anytime.”
