YouTube is experimenting with a new feature very similar to Netflix for its mobile app.
This new feature would allow users to lock their screen to prevent accidental touches while watching a video.
The feature is aimed to avoid accidental taps that lead to unintentionally pausing and skipping the video, leading to disruption.
The company announced the experiment on its YouTube Experiments page.
This feature will be available for select Premium subscribers on Android and iOS devices.
