To make sending and receiving money over UPI easier, Paytm's Payments Bank has implemented UPI Lite. For those who are unaware, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) launched UPI Lite back in September 2022.

Users of the Paytm app will be able to conduct low-value transactions up to Rs 200 faster and without requiring the UPI Pin thanks to Paytm UPI Lite.

Customers can add up to Rs 2,000 twice daily to their UPI Lite Wallet, with a daily cap of

Rs 4,000. UPI Lite allows for numerous transactions to be made without concern for the bank transaction cap.

The UPI Lite programme from NPCI and the RBI aims to enhance digital transactions in the nation while also clearing up the bank passbook. This is so that just the Paytm balance and history area will show the effects of these low-value transactions.
