Google's Pixel 8 Pro's Thermometer app, initially for measuring object temperatures like milk or coffee, now also measures body temperature, updated in the latest January Pixel feature drop.
The Pixel 8 Pro can now scan foreheads to take body temperatures, FDA-approved for accuracy, and integrates with Fitbit for health insights.
To measure body temperature with the Pixel 8 Pro: Open the camera, aim at the forehead, and move it across to record the temperature.
The Pixel 8 Pro's body temperature feature uses its infrared sensor and a laser autofocus (LDAF) sensor to ensure accurate forehead scanning, with haptic and audio guidance for proper use.
