Apple Watch Series 9 & Ultra (2nd Gen): New Heart Rate Sensor & U2 Chip

The Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra (2nd Gen) are expected to be officially announced during the 'Wonderlust' event on September 12.

Both smartwatches are set to feature a new version of Apple's optical heart rate sensor, representing a significant improvement over previous models.

The Apple Watch Series 9 is rumored to come in 42mm and 45mm sizes, while the Apple Watch Ultra may be offered in a larger 49mm size.

Both models will reportedly include the U2 ultrawide-band chip to enhance Find My capabilities.

These watches are expected to feature a new chip, marking the first upgrade in this regard since the Series 6 in 2020.
